Build Me A Voice
April 11, 2025
You are invited to RealTime Arts’ upcoming event, Build Me A Voice: The Grit and Soul of Ukrainian Folklore, a dynamic, interactive reading, workshop, and fundraiser based on Ukrainian folklore.
As you know, our city is indelibly bound to Ukraine— by history, by blood, and by culture. RealTime has been working on there is a blue that only children see, a performance project that connects Ukrainians in Ukraine (through partners DTCare) with Pittsburghers of Ukrainian descent, or those with interest in the fate of Ukraine.
Our event in April, Build Me A Voice, is a kickoff event and fundraiser that allows Pittsburghers to be part of our theater-making process, helping to create a new, shared folklore for our times alongside native Ukrainians. It will include theatrical readings of folklore, live music, and audience discussion and activities.
