The day was a comfortable, nice, sunny day for the Carnegie/Pittsburgh region when the 2021 Carnegie Fall Festival started. The food item of "PEROGIES" was definately on demand. "We need another tray of perogies --- NOW!!" was a common call from the workers in the booth. The reply from the kitchen "We are heating them as fast as we can!" (no; we are not Scotty and are not miracle workers....but we tried!) About 600 perogies were served in 90 minutes to 2 hours from the booth.
Ah... a little bit of rain is coming; we will get a break and the line will shorten... WRONG! Keep the trays coming!
What a great day to see everyone; including a race by the Pittsburgh Pirate Perogies! Thank you to everyone who helped in anyway from start to finish! From making the perogies, set up, cooking, serving and cleanup!
We WON THE ROGI RUMBLE AGAIN!! Two years running! (Festival not held 2020.) Congratulations to everyone!
Guess what! We have TAKE TWO THIS WEEKEND! Our own Annual Ukrainian Food Festival Friday, October 1 and Saturday, October 2nd! Rest up and save room for some food! See you all this weekend!
